Soul Care Privacy Policy

Soul Care is built for personal prayer, scripture reflection, and journaling. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and how you can request help with your data.

Information We Collect

Account information from Google sign-in and Firebase Authentication, such as your name, email address, and user ID.
Reflection content you choose to save, including journal entries, selected emotions, mood scores, prompts, Psalm references, favorite verses, and dates.
App settings and progress information, including theme preferences, scripture translation, notification preference, streaks, fire intensity, and milestone state.
Technical information that may be processed by infrastructure providers when the app communicates with Firebase, Google services, and AI services used to provide app functionality.

How We Use Information

To sign you in and keep your app data connected to your account.
To save and display your reflections, favorite verses, settings, and growth history.
To generate or retrieve contemplative reflections, Psalm deep dives, focus phrases, and audio used by app features.
To schedule the optional local 7:00 AM Daily Ember reminder and app badge.
To maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve Soul Care.

Third-Party Services

Soul Care uses Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Firebase Functions, Google Sign-In, Google GenAI/Gemini, OpenAI services for generated audio where enabled, Expo Notifications, and Expo Audio. These providers may process data as needed to deliver the requested app features.

Notifications

Notifications are optional. Soul Care uses notifications only for the Daily Ember reminder and badge. You can turn reminders off inside the app or through your device settings.

Data Sharing and Advertising

Soul Care does not sell your personal information and does not use your data for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.

Data Retention and Deletion

Your app data is retained while your account remains active. You can delete your account in the Soul tab of the app. Account deletion is designed to remove your Firebase account and associated Soul Care Firestore data. You can also contact us for help with data access or deletion.

Children

Soul Care is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and remove it where appropriate.
